American singer, Jhene Aiko will take on hosting duties at the 2021 Grammy Awards premiere ceremony.  The Recording Academy announced Tuesday, March 2, that the Grammy-nominated singer will host the pre-show, where most trophies are awarded. It will be streamed live on the Grammy’s website ahead of the 63rd annual ceremony on March 14.   The Grammys will be held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. Aiko’s third studio album “Chilombo” is nominated for album of the year and best progressive R&B album.  She’s also up for the best R&B performance for her song “Lightning & Thunder,” featuring John Legend. About 386 soldiers voluntarily disengaged from the army due to medical and other reasons in the second quarter of 2020 as confirmed by the House of Representatives Committee on Army.    Abdulrazaq Namdas, Chairman of the committee revealed this while presenting a report to the house yesterday March 2.    Namdazs said 356 soldiers left the army after losing interest, 24 left to take up traditional titles; while six were discharged on medical grounds. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Niger State Command have recovered 27 new rifles from two suspects during a routine stop and search operation in Kontagora area of the state. The suspects identified as Danjuma Auta, 35, and Daniel Danrangi, 25, both male and from Dirin Daji, Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, were arrested along Kontagora – Zuru road, Niger state on Monday night, March 1.    According to the Niger state Commander of the Agency, Mr. Aloye Isaac Oludare, the duo were arrested with 12 locally fabricated AK 47 rifles and 15 locally fabricated pistols.
