Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has again called out the federal government over the increased insecurity witnessed in the country.  The Rivers state Governor accused the present APC led federal government of not caring if dead bodies are littering all roads while hosting members of the south-south zonal working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Port Harcourt, the state capital. President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in London,United Kingdom where he is to undergo a routine medical check-up. Presidential spokeperson, Bashir Ahmad shared a video of the president disembarking the airplane on Tuesday, March 31, as he arrived London. The president is expected back in the country in the second week of April. Before his departure, Buhari met with the service chiefs and ordered them to identify leaders of bandits and kidnappers and take them out to restore confidence and normalcy in the affected areas. Former Governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu has backtracked on his earlier comment of 50 million youth being recruited into the Nigerian army.  The APC Chieftain made the comment while speaking at a colloquium to celebrate his 69th birthday on Monday March 29.  Following the backlash the comment triggered, Tinubu released a statement on Tuesday March 30 saying it was an "accidental verbal mistake". His media office said he gave the figure in error and only meant to say 50,000 youths. Real Madrid striker,  Karim Benzema will face trial in October for his alleged involvement in blackmailing former France teammate Mathieu Valbuena over a sex tape, prosecutors have said. The French man will stand trial from October 20 to 22 on the charge of complicity in attempted blackmail, the Versailles prosecutor’s office said.  Four other people will also stand trial in the case. A video shared online shows Nigerian men crying out in pain as they were brutally beaten by soldiers and civilians in India. A Twitter user who shared the video said the brutality is suspected to be in relation to Nigerians staging a protest days ago after a Nigerian man was killed while being questioned by police (read here). The Twitter user said his girlfriend lives in Vikaspuri, the area where Nigerians were rounded up and brutalised. He added that a warning had been sent out over the weekend, asking all Nigerians in the area to flee. Those who stayed back were forced out of their homes and were beaten by soldiers and civilians. "What did we do now? We did not do anything," one of the Nigerian men is heard saying as they are beaten with batons....
