Aba’s Enyimba International Football Club advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup with Orlando Pirates of South Africa on Wednesday night.

Cyril Olisema’s late goal in extra time of the second half gave Enyimba a 1-0 victory over Orlando Pirates at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

The victory ensured that Enyimba piled the South African team at the top of the Group A table in order to succeed as group winners.

Enyimba lost 1-2 to Orlando Pirates when they met on the second day of the competition, but the 1-0 victory on Wednesday was enough advantage for the Aba team.

Both sides finished on nine points each after six games, but the head-to-head calculation separated both parties.

They both go into the quarterfinals on Friday to know their next opponents.
